Brief Description | This final module asks students to assemble work for an end of year exhibition. Each team presents themselves, their work and their exhibition to creative directors from the advertising industry. |
Indicative Syllabus | Students work in creative teams or as individuals to plan and create an 'end of year' exhibition. During the module, students and module staff will assess and review all finished coursework to encourage an exhibition of high quality ideas and artwork. By the end of the module, each team will present themselves and their summer exhibition to creative directors from the advertising industry. |
Learning Outcomes | A student passing this module should be able to: 1) Demonstrate an advanced working knowledge and critical understanding of advertising concepts and campaigns in the production of an industry standard, creative exhibition. 2) Demonstrate entrepreneurial skills to make contact with industry to support creative practice and enhance opportunities in the workplace. 3) Appreciate and critically review the subtleties of message, with regard to brand identity, visual and verbal ‘tone of voice’ and potential to promote and communicate. 4) Achieve advanced skill development in researching, problem solving, conceptualising, copywriting, art direction and designing creative industry standard visuals. 5) Judge a range of creative approaches and be critically aware of audience perception, working both individually and as a part of a team, towards planning and presenting an exhibition. 6) Critically review their Personal Development Planning to develop effective strategies towards identifying and achieving personal, academic and career goals; have an advanced appreciation of the relationship between study skills, the acquisition of personal transferable skills and future employability. |
