Brief Description

This module addresses issues surrounding the creation and structuring of a photo story. A quantity of images shot for the practical project provides the basis for discussion of editing techniques, publications and target audience.

Indicative Syllabus

This module requires students to research and plan a photo story. The subject of the story will be agreed in advance with the module tutor.

Following the photography for the story a volume of digital prints and proof/contact prints will be required in order to develop the final narrative selection for the story and provide opportunity for peer discussion during the editing process.  Images will be edited, sequenced and crafted into the finished story based on a number of factors which will include clarity, brevity and engaging the envisaged audience for the work.
