Brief Description | The module aims to provide students with a working knowledge of management science applications and management information systems development for implementation in business. Students will be able to apply appropriate mathematical, statistical and systems modelling techniques to business problems but also be aware of their limitations. |
Indicative Syllabus | In this module students will be expected to build on knowledge and understanding gained in AC4002 to distinguish and interpret results of selected mathematical and statistical methods including correlation and regression, sampling and significance testing, linear programming, decision theory and network analysis. In addition students will explore information systems applications, systems modelling, systems development, strategies and management issues, control and security and technology selection and acquisition. |
